PETALING JAYA: Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim received a courtesy visit from superstar Rajnikanth on Monday (Sept 11) at his office in Putrajaya.
In a Facebook post, Anwar said he met the Indian actor, who was not only well-known in the arts stage in Asia and around the world.
“I am honored by the appreciation given to my mission, especially to address the suffering and hardship faced by the people.
“Among the matters discussed were social elements that I am currently fighting for, which could be included in his films,” he said in the social posts, which has already garnered 40,000 likes on Instagram alone.
The Prime Minister also said he prays for Rajnikanth’s continued excellence in his field and films.
In the comments section, many were excited over the post, with some drawing comparisons to Rajnikanth’s blockbuster film “Shivaji The Boss”.
The name for the movie is believed to be derived from Rajnikanth’s real name Shivaji Rao Gaikwad.
The actor is famous for his catchy punchlines as well as signature moves.
Anwar is also known to draw references from Rajnikanth’s films, especially “Shivaji The Boss”, during his campaign rallies.
