Asia Green Group celebrated the 20th anniversary of its property development division by unveiling its latest project, The Pier serviced apartments. The luxurious residences are located in Penang World City, Bayan Lepas, and showcase Asia Green’s commitment to a greener future. The development incorporates cutting-edge green technologies and sustainable urban development practices, reflecting the company’s dedication to reducing its environmental impact. During a ceremony at their office and sales gallery near Queensbay Mall, CEO and director Tan Li Mei emphasized the importance of building a community that shares the responsibility of protecting the planet.
The Pier has been designed to meet the Green Building Index Gold standard. It will feature water-saving fittings for both residential units and common areas, energy-saving fittings for common areas, solar panels, electric vehicle charging stations, regenerative lifts, composting facilities, and a rainwater harvesting system. Additionally, the development will boast a herb garden, lush greenery, water features, and Penang’s first wave pool.
The Pier will comprise two 37-storey towers offering a total of 934 freehold units and 64 commercial lots in the podium block. The residential options include three-bedroom Type A units, two-bedroom dual key Type A1 units, and corner units with full sea views and four bedrooms (Type B). The development will also provide residents with an array of recreational facilities ranging from jacuzzis and pools to gardens, gyms, playgrounds, and community spaces.
Nestled near the Penang Bridge’s landing on the island, The Pier benefits from its convenient proximity to various shopping, dining, lifestyle, medical, and educational amenities. The launch event for the project was attended by Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo, Batu Uban assemblyman A. Kumaresan, Tan Boon Huat (founder and chairman of Asia Green Group), and Tan Loong Khoon (director). The event treated guests to a lion dance, lunch, lucky draws, and refreshments.
