Cloudsoft Service Sdn Bhd managing director states that his company is prepared to digitalize local cooperatives in Malaysia, similar to what they have done in Indonesia.
“We recently entered into a partnership with the Indonesian Consortium of Co-operative Innovation (ICCI) in Jakarta, and I have intentions to replicate the same idea here,” mentioned Datuk Ignatius Lourdsamy on Thursday (Oct 26).
He further explained that this digital transformation aligns with the Cooperative Digitalisation Action Plan of the Entrepreneur Development and Cooperatives Ministry.
Previously, in April, Minister Datuk Ewon Ebin Benedick had announced the implementation of a plan in collaboration with the Cooperative Commission of Malaysia (SKM), Cooperative Institute of Malaysia (IKMa), and Angkatan Koperasi Kebangsaan Malaysia Berhad (Angkasa) to digitalize cooperatives.
Ewon emphasized the need for cooperatives to adapt to technology and adopt digitalization as marketing through digital platforms and online payments have become the new normal for businesses.
