The Pakatan Harapan camp in Taman Dahlia, Johor Baru, is in a positive mood as their candidate for the Pulai parliamentary seat is currently leading in the by-election. Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu, Tebrau MP Jimmy Puah Wee Tse, and Johor Amanah chairman Aminolhuda Hassan were present and greeted supporters at the scene. They were also watching the by-election results for the Pulai and Simpang Jeram seats on a big screen while enjoying lontong.
Pakatan’s candidate, Suhaizan Kayat, is leading comfortably in Pulai with a vote majority of 12,668. As of 8.15pm, Suhaizan has received 36,703 votes, while Perikatan Nasional’s Zulkifli Jaafar has obtained 24,035 votes and Independent candidate Samsudin Mohamad Fauzi has received 408 votes.
The voter turnout for the Pulai parliamentary constituency, which has around 165,000 voters, was 46.8% at the closing time of 6pm.
