Authorities plan to install cameras along Jalan Batang Kali-Genting Highlands to verify the reported sighting of a tiger.
The Hulu Selangor OCPD, Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim, stated that an auxiliary policeman filed a report after spotting a tiger at KM18 of the road.
Upon receiving the report, the police contacted Hulu Selangor Perhilitan for assistance in locating the animal.
After conducting observations and investigations, no signs or animal lairs were found.
“However, Perhilitan will install camera traps in the area to determine the presence of the tiger,” said Supt Ahmad Faizal Tahrim in a statement.
