A 77-year-old Switzerland national with a leg cramp crashed through a glass panel into a courier service outlet at a petrol station in Canning Garden, Ipoh.

The incident happened on Tuesday (Jan 9) at about 10.30am, according to Ipoh OCPD Asst Comm Yahaya Hassan.

Yahaya stated that the former hotel manager suddenly suffered from a cramp in his right leg while pumping petrol at the station.

This caused the man to lose control of the car, which then crashed into a motorcycle before ultimately smashing into the courier service outlet.

During the crash, a woman at the courier service outlet was injured on her right leg, as per ACP Yahaya’s statement.

No arrest was made, but the case has been classified under Rule 10 of the Road Traffic Rules, Yahaya added.
