Shah Alam: Six Indonesian men have been charged with the murder of a fellow countryman earlier this month in the Magistrate’s Court here. The accused, identified as Pusidin, Mohammad, Mohammad Sawi, Marhadi, Marco, and Ahmad, are all labourers and aged between 19 and 46. Magistrate Mohamad Reza Azhar Rezali read out the charges and all the accused nodded in acknowledgment.
The six men are jointly charged with another individual who is still at large for the murder of Dul Safik. The incident took place in a room at Jalan Kemuning Batu 8, Shah Alam, at approximately 10 pm on July 2. If found guilty, they face severe consequences according to Section 302 of the Penal Code, including the death penalty, imprisonment for 30 to 40 years, and 12 strokes of the cane.
Nurul Farah Sofea Norazman, a deputy public prosecutor, represented the prosecution in court. On the other hand, lawyer Muhammad Hidhir Mustapa represented all the accused.
The court has scheduled September 11 as the date to mention the case for the submission of the chemist and forensic reports. The arrest of the six foreigners reportedly occurred after the body of an Indonesian man was found in the trunk of a car parked by the roadside near Taman Sri Orkid, Section 30, Shah Alam, on July 4.
