KUALA LUMPUR: Police have arrested eight individuals believed to be involved in a weapons-related brawl in Kampung Malaysia Tambahan on Monday morning, Oct 2nd.
Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Zam Halim Jamaluddin said the suspects, all local males aged between 22 and 44, were apprehended in various locations within the Klang Valley at 11:15 am on Monday.
ACP Zam Halim stated that the police control room at the Cheras police headquarters received reports from the public about the altercation that occurred at 1:37 am, following an argument between two rival tow truck groups over the rights to tow a client’s vehicle.
“We are still actively searching for fugitive suspects who participated in the fight and possess weapons,” he stated in a press release on Monday.
ACP Zam Halim emphasized that the police will not tolerate any disregard for the laws of the country or any threats to national peace, harmony, or security.
