CIMB Bank Bhd announced that it will stop offering certain key services in the CIMB Clicks mobile banking app, with the gradual phase-out starting in August.

The first features to be deactivated in August will be mobile top-ups, along with the ability to place and withdraw e-Fixed Deposits. Later in September, Duitnow QR transfers and foreign transfers (both SpeedSend and Foreign Telegraphic Transfers) will be disabled.

Finally in October, bill payments via Jompay and rewards through CIMB Deals will be discontinued in the app.

These features will still be available on the CIMB Octo app, which replaces the former app. CIMB Octo is available on the Apple App Store, Google Play Store, and Huawei AppGallery.

This comes after the bank announced at the end of May that CIMB Clicks would discontinued on June 11. Following the date, the CIMB Clicks app was still usable by customers, however, it had been delisted from mobile app stores.

Users with the app installed before June 11 were informed that they could continue using it for online banking transactions until further notification from the bank.
