PLUS Malaysia has reopened the stretch of road from the Shah Alam junction from Subang at the NKVE Highway heading towards Seafield/KLIA at the Elite Highway (Southbound) at 8.30am on Saturday (Sept 9).
The stretch was temporarily closed to all traffic to enable repair and resurfacing work to be completed after a load of liquid spilled at KM1.2 of the Elite Highway on Friday (Sept 8).
“The resurfacing work had to be carried out to ensure the safety of the travellers following the liquid spill, which had the potential to make the highway slippery, endangering road users,” said PLUS in a statement on Saturday (Sept 9).
“PLUS wish to advise all operators and heavy commercial vehicle drivers to ensure their load was stable and is always in good condition,” it added.
