IPOH: The Northern Region Economic Corridor Technology Innovation Centre (NTIC) has successfully facilitated collaboration between multinationals and local companies in attracting investors in Perak, says The Perak Mentri Besar
Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said to stimulate Bumiputera entrepreneurs to grow, the Northern Corridor Implementation Authority (NCIA), through the NCER Entrepreneur Fund program, has benefited 10 companies in Perak with the distribution of more than RM16 million in funds.
He said this after chairing the Perak State Steering Committee meeting on Monday (Nov 6).
“NCIA has also collaborated with the Perak State Entrepreneur Secretariat to develop Bumiputra micro, small and medium enterprises,” said Saarani.
Meanwhile, NCIA’s Executive chief Mohamad Haris Kader Sultan said they would continue to work with the Perak State Government to develop and implement strategies that would attract investors from within and outside the country.
“NCIA continues to play an important role in implementing programs based on Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in Perak, and to date, 5,333 participants have undergone TVET skills training to equip themselves for the thriving job market.
“NCIA has managed to attract more than RM480 million in domestic direct investment from more than 8,700 local companies since 2019,” he said.
