KOTA KINABALU: Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Ahmad Zahid has urged members of cooperatives nationwide to strengthen the unity government and contribute to rebuilding the nation, boosting economic growth, and creating a better future for all Malaysians, regardless of race and religion. Speaking at the closing ceremony of the national Cooperatives Month programme on Sunday (July 30), he emphasized the transformation of former foes into friends within the current government.

Dr. Ahmad Zahid stated, “Strengthen the unity government. Last time, we were ‘lawan tetap lawan’, and now ‘lawan jadi kawan’ (foes becoming friends).” He encouraged everyone to let bygones be bygones and move forward for the betterment of the nation.

Furthermore, he highlighted the need to open a new chapter and unite cooperatives to elevate the economy to greater heights.
