The performance took place on Labour Day as part of the “Be Smart, Stay Alert, Let’s Fight Scam, A Crime Prevention Programme” event organized by the George Town police contingent headquarters, the Malaysian Crime Prevention Foundation (MCPF), and Lions Club International District 308 B2. Hai Kuo Tian Kong, a song by the Hong Kong rock group Beyond, which promotes personal freedom and the pursuit of dreams, became a hit in 1993 and is the first Cantonese song to reach over 100 million views on YouTube last year.
