Johor police chief Comm Datuk Kamarul Zaman Mamat has refuted the viral video claiming that the police provided a security escort to a controversial businesswoman leaving her factory in Skudai. He stated that a video on TikTok alleged that police gave clearance to allow a patrol car to escort the woman out of the premises.

Comm Kamarul Zaman clarified that on Saturday (Nov 25) at around 12.30pm, a group of individuals had gathered, causing a ruckus in front of the factory. Police were then sent to the scene to control the situation and ensure it did not escalate further. He said in a statement on Sunday (Nov 26) that any individual who witnessed the incident should come forward and lodge a report so that action could be taken according to the law without compromise.

He further urged the public not to easily believe and spread unverified information, as it could lead to confusion among the people and threaten public safety.

The woman in question, who operates a clothing business, recently sparked controversy after making racial remarks directed at the Malays on social media, which resulted in various police reports being lodged against her.
