KUALA LUMPUR: Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, the Perikatan Nasional chairman, was visited by Bukit Aman officers at an office building in Kuala Lumpur on Thursday (Sept 21) to provide another statement. They arrived at approximately 10am.
It is believed that the purpose of this visit is to record Muhyiddin’s statement regarding his remarks during the Simpang Jeram by-election, which touched on issues concerning religion, race, and the royal institution.
On September 12, the police previously met with Muhyiddin to record his statement on the same matter.
Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay, stated earlier that two police reports had been made in relation to this issue.
