Police in Kluang have apprehended a 21-year-old man for engaging in indecent behavior in Taman Delima. Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh, the Kluang OCPD, reported that the incident took place on Sunday (Sept 17) at around 1am in front of a shop in the area. He stated that following the circulation of a video on social media that captured the indecent act, the suspect was arrested on Wednesday (Sept 20) at 1.30pm in Taman Intan. The suspect, who tested negative for drugs and had no prior criminal record, is being charged for gross indecent behavior under Section 377D of the Penal Code.
In an unrelated case, ACP Bahrin announced that four lorry drivers were taken into custody during a special operation called Ops Perdagangan, which was conducted on Thursday (Sept 21). A roadblock was set up at KM57.8 on Jalan Batu Pahat-Mersing at 9am. A total of 55 commercial vehicles and 61 individuals were inspected during the operation, resulting in the issuance of 18 traffic summonses for various offenses. Additionally, four drivers, aged between 22 and 33, tested positive for methamphetamine. ACP Bahrin emphasized that the police will continue to carry out these operations in order to prevent any untoward incidents on the road.
