KUALA LUMPUR: Another suspect in the murder of an accountant in Kampung Cheras Baru is being pursued by the police. The body of the accountant was found naked with visible injuries and bruises at about 6am on Dec 11. Kuala Lumpur police chief Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid stated that they have identified the suspect and are in the process of tracking him down. The remand for the two individuals previously detained will end today and the police will refer the matter to the Deputy Public Prosecutor as soon as possible. Comm Datuk Allaudeen Abdul Majid made this announcement to reporters after attending the KL police monthly assembly on Wednesday (Dec 20).
Reports suggested that two men were arrested for their involvement in the murder of the accountant. Cheras OCPD Asst Comm Zam Halim Jamaluddin mentioned that the two detained men, who were friends of the victim, are being held for questioning. The 28-year-old accountant’s body was discovered on Jalan Kuari, Kampung Cheras Baru, face down and naked. The authorities have classified the case as a murder.
