Police in Seremban are currently searching for four men who fled on foot after crashing their car following a high-speed police chase. The incident occurred at around 2.40am on Tuesday (Oct 17) when the individuals were spotted near a hypermarket in Senawang.
According to Seremban police chief, Asst Comm Arifai Tarawe, the driver of the car suddenly accelerated and headed towards Rembau. However, the driver lost control of the vehicle along Jalan Lee Poon, resulting in a crash. Following the crash, all four occupants managed to escape on foot.
Authorities are urging anyone with information on the whereabouts of these individuals to contact investigating officer, Insp Norhasikin Hashim, at 017-2441954 or the district police station at 06-6033222. The case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code, which pertains to obstructing a public servant from carrying out their duties.
If convicted, the offenders could face a maximum sentence of two years in jail, a fine of up to RM10,000, or both.
