Cops on the hunt for rape suspect after failing to attend court hearing

SERDANG: Police are currently searching for a man who did not attend a court hearing regarding a rape charge. Serdang OCPD Asst Comm AA Anbalagan stated today (Aug 25) that the man was supposed to appear in court on June 15 but failed to show up. The accused, who pleaded not guilty to the rape charge and was granted bail, goes by the name Mohd Mazlan Sharfudeen and is 31 years old. Consequently, a warrant for his arrest has been issued.

According to the statement, Mohd Mazlan Sharfudeen’s last known address was Jalan Pipit 4 in Bandar Puchong Jaya. Those who possess any information regarding his whereabouts have been urged by ACP Anbalagan to contact the investigating officer Insp Nursabrina Ahmad Jafri at 012-634 8487 or any local police stations.
