KUALA LUMPUR: Police here have seized drugs worth close to RM2mil in an operation in the Klang Valley on Monday (Sept 2), says city police chief Comm Datuk Rusdi Mohd Isa.

He said that three suspects aged between 23 and 30 were arrested in the first raid in Cheras Perdana and added that 10.5kg of ketamine was found on one of them

“Following their arrest, the police were then brought to a house in Cheras Perdana in Selangor. The premise is believed to have been used as a storehouse for the drugs,” he said.

Comm Rusdi added at a press conference on Thursday (Sept 5) at the police’s contingent headquarters that 5.2kg of ecstasy and 4kg of ketamine were found at the house.

“It is believed that the group would obtain their supply overseas before using houses to store them before selling them within the Klang Valley,” he said, adding that the drugs seized are valued at RM1.6mil.

Comm Rusdi then added that two of the suspects also tested positive for ketamine and THC and said that all have been remanded for six days until Sept 9.

In an unrelated case, Comm Rusdi said that police have been deployed at the Masjid India sinkhole area as repair works begin.

“If possible please avoid the area for your personal safety. The hole is very deep, almost eight to 10 meters deep,” he said.

“A lot of people have been there to see the site and some have come to do TikTok videos. I have instructed the Dang Wangi police to station policemen there and at the nearby police beat base,” he said.
