IPOH: All those involved in the bullying incident at a secondary school in Kerian have had their statements taken.

Kerian OCPD Superintendent Juna Yusoff said investigations into the matter were still ongoing and the investigation papers would soon be referred to the Deputy Public Prosecutor’s office for the next course of action.

“We have taken the statements of all the parties involved and no arrests were made,” he said when contacted.

“We are in the midst of completing the investigations,” he added.

A video of a 13-year-old girl being slapped by two 15-year-old girls had gone viral on social media.

The incident reportedly occurred on June 14 at about 10.30am.

On Tuesday (June 25), Perak police chief Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said the incident is believed to have stemmed from jealousy because the victim is said to be close to one of the alleged bullies’ boyfriend, also 15, at the same school.
