Authorities in Kepala Batas are currently searching for a man who allegedly threatened and intentionally crashed his car into a motorcyclist at a petrol station in Tasek Gelugor on Friday (Dec 8). The incident garnered attention on social media due to a video that circulated widely.
According to Seberang Perai OCPD Asst Mohd Asri Shafie, preliminary investigation has revealed that the suspect became upset with the victim after being reprimanded for changing lanes without signaling. This altercation led to the suspect intentionally crashing his Proton Wira car into the motorcyclist.
“The (Proton Wira) car driver then rammed his car into the motorcyclist,” he said in a statement on Saturday (Dec 9).
Authorities are seeking any potential eyewitnesses to come forward and contact any police station or investigating officer Insp Lee Howe Chong at 016-598 9576 to assist in the investigation. This information was reported by Bernama.
