On Monday (Nov 27), the Dewan Rakyat will discuss several pressing issues, including suicides caused by cyberbullying and the effectiveness of the Rakan Muda programmes. These topics will be addressed during the question and answer session.

One of the questions posed is by Datuk Mas Ermieyati Samsudin (PN-Masjid Tanah) to the Communications and Digital Minister. She is seeking information on measures taken to prevent the misuse of social media, particularly on the TikTok platform, which has led to reported cases of suicides due to cyberbullying.

Sim Tze Tzin (PH-Bayan Baru) will ask the Youth and Sports Minister about the successes of the Rakan Muda programmes and how they have contributed to uniting communities and combating extremism related to race, religion, and royalty within the country.

Datuk Seri Johari Abdul Ghani (BN-Titiwangsa) will inquire about the amount of subsidised cooking oil distributed to B40 households and micro-businesses by the Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry each month.

Additionally, Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden (PN-Alor Setar) will address the Local Government Development Minister regarding the implementation of recommendations by the Task Force on Private Housing and Abandoned Projects (TFST), which was recently established.

Following the question and answer session, the Dewan Rakyat will continue debate on the Supply Bill 2024 at the committee level, which will mark its final day.

This week concludes the Dewan Rakyat’s session, which began on Oct 9 and will end on Thursday (Nov 30). – Bernama
