TAIPING: DAP and Umno are no longer fighting with each other and will work to find a common point for the sake of the people, says Nga Kor Ming. “We do not deny that there are challenges but we must look at them positively. The cooperation between our ministers is close and professional,” he said. “We will work as a team to bring prosperity to the people and the country. There’s no point in fighting (between the two parties) if the people are facing difficulties daily,” he added.
The Local Government Development Minister said he believes that the country will be more stable and its economy improved if the Pakatan Harapan-Barisan Nasional coalition can win big. “Foreign investments will come in and the ringgit will also strengthen,” the DAP vice-chairman said in a press conference after a working visit here on Saturday (July 22).
He also said that DAP will announce its candidates soon. “We are still trying to find a good date to announce the candidates. They will be announced by Pakatan Harapan chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim,” he said.
State polls in Selangor, Kedah, Penang, Kelantan, Terengganu and Negri Sembilan will take place on Aug 12, with nomination day on July 29.
