The National DAP Veterans Club has submitted a police report against Kepala Batas MP Dr Siti Mastura Muhammad for alleging that DAP chairman Lim Guan Eng has links to Chin Peng, the former Malayan Communist Party leader. The club’s chairman, Lay Hock Peng, stated that the police report was filed to prompt appropriate action from the authorities.
Lay Hock Peng explained that he viewed footage of Siti Mastura’s speech at an event and identified baseless and malicious claims made about Tan Sri Lim Kit Siang and his family, implicating them in underlying connections with Chin Peng. This statement was made during a press conference after the police report was lodged at the Seberang Prai Utara district police headquarters on Saturday (Nov 11).
He further suggested that these claims were possibly made with the intention of distorting facts, fabricating stories, and creating a negative view of Kit Siang and his family.
This police report is the second submitted by a DAP leader, the first being Bukit Bendera MP Syerleena Abdul Rashid who filed a report at the Brickfields police station on Friday (Nov 10).
It has also been reported that Guan Eng has initiated legal action against Siti Mastura following her remarks at the event in November. – Bernama
