GEORGE TOWN: DAP has issued a warning that any party members found campaigning for Opposition candidates or speaking negatively about the party will be expelled.
The state DAP organising secretary, Jason H’ng, stated that these individuals will be considered as acting against the party’s interest and will face disciplinary action, including termination of their membership.
H’ng expressed concern about irresponsible statements attacking the party, and revealed that there have been complaints regarding such behavior.
He emphasized that each decision made by the party was not taken lightly, but was necessary for the party’s future in Penang.
Furthermore, H’ng expressed disappointment over baseless accusations being directed towards the party and its leadership without verifying the facts.
He also called upon all party leaders to distance themselves from those who have betrayed the party by becoming turncoats.
H’ng stressed the importance of unity within the party and advised members against making unfounded accusations that could harm the organization.
Moreover, he regretted an incident where an Independent candidate utilized the office of a former assemblyman and the party’s resources for a press conference aimed at attacking and disparaging candidates and the party.
