Approximately 589 households in Kampung Setia Jaya, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur will soon benefit from the resurfacing of main roads in the village, according to the residents association (RA) chairman, Mohd Asli Sapuan. He expressed gratitude to Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for initiating the upgrading project. One of the main issues faced by the residents is the invisibility of potholes during rainy weather, which poses a danger to motorcyclists.
The chairman further mentioned that there are still some lacking facilities in the village, such as a hall. Currently, the badminton court is utilized for community activities. Recognizing this, Kuala Lumpur Advisory Board member Andre Lai has raised the matter with DBKL following his appointment two months ago. In response, Kuala Lumpur Mayor Datuk Kamarulzaman Mat Salleh has assured that DBKL will soon commence the resurfacing of four roads: Jalan Jaya 1, 2, 3, and 4. Additionally, Lai has requested City Hall to evaluate the drainage system in the area.
