Four people were tragically killed in a car fire on the West Coast Expressway (WCE) near Sitiawan, according to authorities. The Perak Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 5.11pm and rushed to the scene at KM220 on the northbound lane of the highway. Sadly, the car was already engulfed in flames by the time they arrived.
One individual managed to escape the burning vehicle and survived the incident. The victims, all employed in Lumut, were returning to Ipoh after work when the accident occurred approximately 2km before the Changkat Cermin exit. It is believed that the car skidded and crashed before catching fire.
