    JOHOR BARU: With only three months left until the submission deadline for the Export Excellence Awards (EEA) 2023, participants are preparing for the final round of knowledge-sharing from industry experts.

    The last panel discussion of the EEA 2023 Roadshow series will be held at Amari Johor Baru on Aug 1 at 10.30am.

    Led by Iskandar Regional Development Authority (Irda) Economics & Investment vice-president Prakash Nagarajan, the panelists will delve into Malaysia’s export strategies, success factors and best practices, as well as emerging export opportunities that businesses can take advantage of.

    The panelists will include Joanne Tay, executive director of KJH Wood Industrial Sdn Bhd, who will share how the company has maintained its competitive edge in the global market, making it a leading wooden pallet manufacturer with a presence across Europe, the United States, New Zealand, South America, and Asia.

    Amirul Azman Ahmad, Southern Region director of Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade), will outline key export strategies for businesses looking to expand globally, as well as sharing some of the programs implemented by Matrade to enhance export capabilities.

    Kuan Eu Jin, Chief Revenue Officer of PKT Logistics Group Sdn Bhd, will discuss how the company has reduced its carbon footprint and promoted eco-friendly logistics in its export operations, highlighting how supply chain visibility and traceability can lead to customer satisfaction and operational efficiency.

    Mohd Arif Afifuddin, Executive Director and Corporate, Commercial & Institutional Banking (CCIB), Transaction Banking Sales Head of Standard Chartered Bank Malaysia Bhd, will share financing options and instruments that support Malaysian exporters, in addition to discussing the current global economic landscape and its potential impact on exporters.

    The EEA 2023 Johor roadshow will also include a networking session and a Q&A segment for participants. The EEA Johor roadshow is part of the EEA program, organized by Star Media Group in partnership with Standard Chartered, co-sponsored by PKT Logistics, and patronized by Matrade, with BDO serving as the auditor.
