The Defenders of Palestinians Rally at Hang Jebat Stadium in Melaka is aiming to attract 10,000 participants from various races and religions on Sunday (Oct 29).
Datuk Mohd Ridhwan Mohd Ali, chairman of Yayasan Dunia Melayu Dunia Islam (DMDI), stated that the event, organized by DMDI in collaboration with several non-governmental organizations (NGOs), including Serantau Muslim, will take place from 6am to 11am.
“The Defenders of Palestinians Rally is a response to the Malaysia Stands With Palestine Assembly, which occurred two days ago at Axiata Arena, Bukit Jalil,” said Mohd Ridhwan Mohd Ali during a press conference for the ‘One Million Palestinian Defenders Rally Road Tour’ in Melaka.
According to Mohd Ridhwan Mohd Ali, Melaka is the first state to answer the call for a widespread show of support and solidarity with the Palestinians, who have been deprived of their rights and oppressed by Israeli Zionists in their own homeland.
Mohd Hakim Mohd Nor, the chairman of Serantau Muslim and the road tour, was also present at the press conference.
The rally will feature various activities, including speeches about Palestine, nasyid performances, and a five-kilometre run, according to Mohd Ridhwan Mohd Ali.
He also mentioned that there will be a donation drive to provide food and medicine to the Palestinians. -Bernama
