On Tuesday (Nov 28), Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim is set to disclose the government’s plans for managing flood disasters in the Dewan Rakyat sitting. The Order Paper on the Parliament website states that Shamshulkahar Mohd Deli (BN-Jempol) will question the government’s readiness to implement a comprehensive flood disaster management plan to ensure the safety of victims and minimize property losses during the northeast monsoon season during the Minister’s Question Time.
In addition, Anwar is expected to address a question from Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz Syed Abdul Fasal (PN-Bukit Gantang) about the government’s aims to implement the Madani government concept to promote unity among Members of Parliament (MPs) in developing the country together.
Datuk Syed Abu Hussin Hafiz also wanted to know about the prime minister’s expectations from opposition MPs. During the question and answer session, Shaharizukirnain Abd Kadir (PN-Setiu) will inquire of the Works Minister about the number of highways with motorcycle lanes and the latest plans to add these lanes to highways that currently lack this facility.
Moreover, the Control of Smoking Products for Public Health Bill 2023 is scheduled to be tabled for first reading at the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday. The Parliament session, which began on Oct 9, will conclude this Thursday (Nov 30).- Bernama
