PETALING JAYA: A company director and two other individuals have been arrested by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on suspicion of submitting false claims amounting to RM14,000 to a corporation.
A source from MACC revealed that the three male suspects, aged between 30 and 40, were apprehended at the Kuala Lumpur MACC office at approximately 7pm on Monday (Aug 7).
According to the source, the suspects were summoned to the MACC office to provide evidence relating to the claims filed during the period of October to December 2022.
Kuala Lumpur MACC director, Mohamad Fauzi Husin, confirmed the arrests and stated that the investigation is being carried out under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009.
However, he added that the three suspects were not detained and were released on MACC bail yesterday.
