Police in Kepala Batas arrested a disabled Form One student on Friday to aid in the investigation of an alleged molest case involving 14 schoolchildren. Seberang Perai Selatan OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Asri Shafie stated that the principal of the school filed the report on Friday, claiming that 14 male students aged 13 to 14 with disabilities had been allegedly molested by a Form One student in the school’s dormitory.

On Saturday, Asri said, “The teen is now remanded to help investigations into the case.” He noted that further investigations are ongoing, including locating witnesses and recording the statements of the victims involved.

The case is being investigated under Section 14 of the Sexual Offences Against Children Act 2017. Asri also urged the public to report any information about sexual crimes against children and advised them to be vigilant, as such cases have long-term consequences on mental and emotional health if not stopped early. – Bernama
