MELAKA: Starting from Monday, tourists visiting Melaka can take advantage of discounts of up to 55% at 28 popular attractions as part of the Visit Melaka Year 2024 campaign. Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh revealed that the discounts are intended to entice more visitors to the state and provide them with an exceptional holiday experience.
He also announced that the discounts will be available through vouchers that will remain valid until December 31. This announcement was made during the launch of Visit Melaka Year and the state New Year celebrations at Pengkalan Rama on Sunday night. The New Year’s Eve fireworks display was a sight to behold as it illuminated various locations across the city as the clock struck midnight.
Shah Beach Resort general manager Dennis Samford expressed his surprise at the impressive fireworks display that brightened up the city. “I could see fireworks everywhere when I was on the way back from my hotel at about midnight,” he said. “There was also traffic congestion everywhere with revellers on the streets celebrating the New Year.”
