KUALA LUMPUR: Deputy Prime Ministers Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof have wished all Muslims in Malaysia “Selamat Hari Raya”.

Ahmad Zahid expressed that the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri should be used as a time to come together and embrace unity in diversity, regardless of differences in race, religion, or culture.

He emphasized that the arrival of Aidilfitri is a blessing from God because it provides the Muslim community with the opportunity to fulfill their obligation to fast during the holy month of Ramadan.

According to Ahmad Zahid, the festival of Aidilfitri is a time for gratitude, togetherness, and a chance to show care and support for one another, fostering a spirit of unity among all individuals.

Aidilfitri marks the end of Ramadan, during which Muslims practice daily fasting from dawn to dusk as a form of spiritual discipline.

“Let’s celebrate this joyous occasion with a sense of brotherhood. It is important for us to seek forgiveness and avoid unnecessary conflicts to ensure peace and harmony prevail. We should appreciate the peace that we all currently enjoy.”

He shared these sentiments in a Facebook post on Tuesday (April 9), encouraging all to walk with God’s blessings in everything they do.

Meanwhile, Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof expressed his hope that Hari Raya Aidilfitri would be a time of gratitude, strengthening unity among all Malaysians.

Fadillah, who also serves as the Energy Transition and Water Transformation Minister, shared on Facebook that the arrival of Syawal signifies a significant victory for all Muslims who fasted during Ramadan.

“Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri to my family and friends. To those traveling back to their hometowns, may you have a safe journey,” he expressed, praying for the enduring spirit of unity among Malaysians. – Bernama
