Dr Wee posted on Facebook after his visit to the Gemas Barisan operations room, stating, “(This is) to return the favour to Tampin Umno helping Ling Tian Soon win the Yong Peng state seat in the 2022 Johor state election.”
Prior to this, Abd Razak, accompanied by Ling and Johor Deputy Speaker Datuk Samsol Bari Jamali, went to the nomination centre. Dr Wee expressed his hopes of receiving the people’s mandate for Barisan to serve in Gemas, emphasizing that Abd Razak is an excellent candidate with the experience to effectively serve the constituency.
During his visit, Dr Wee also went to Lenggeng and made a stop at Broga town. He mentioned that MCA leaders, including party vice-presidents Datuk Lim Ban Hong and Datuk Seri Ti Lian Ker, paid a visit to the popular Sak Dato’ Temple, which has become a must-visit destination for both locals and foreigners.
Dr Wee praised the scenic view and beautiful surrounding greenery of the temple, saying, “This place has provided great assistance to the needy, and up to now, the temple has donated more than RM6.5 million to the public. Well done!”
