According to Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim, a man believed to have been intoxicated was found dead after being trapped under the shutters of a bank entrance for over six hours, after passing out near an ATM.
The man was discovered at 7.29am yesterday, having passed out before midnight. He was found lying near the entrance of the ATM area of the bank in Kota Kemuning near Shah Alam.
“The man, believed to have been drunk, was seen lying down in front of the area at 11.48pm on Monday, as confirmed by checks on CCTV,” ACP Mohd Iqbal said.
“At 12.01am, the automatic shutters closed, trapping his neck between the shutters and the floor. The shutters only reopened at 6am,” he added. No personal identification documents were found on his body, and there were no other injuries present. The case has been classified as sudden death.
