DVIATION Group was established in 2012 by Kevin Teoh and T. Ganesh, who saw a significant gap in the independent aviation training sector. As licensed aircraft maintenance engineers, they recognized the lack of specialized technical training organizations for career advancement.

In response to this need, Dviation Group was formed as an independent aviation training organization that has now expanded its services to become an end-to-end life cycle asset solution provider.

Today, Dviation Group operates globally, offering diverse services ranging from aircraft maintenance to consultancy and sustainability solutions.

    Commitment to sustainability

Dviation Group’s new business unit, KarbonMRO, emphasizes its dedication to decarbonization and sustainability. KarbonMRO focuses on innovative and sustainable technologies that align with the industry’s goal of reducing emissions and embracing cleaner alternatives.

Dviation Group is actively embracing new technologies and engaging with next-generation aerial vehicles like electric vertical and landing (eVTOL) aircraft to contribute to the global aviation industry’s target of achieving net-zero emissions by 2050.

    Skill shortage

A major challenge in the aviation industry is the shortage of skilled workers within a limited talent pool. Dviation Group acknowledges this challenge and highlights the rewarding career opportunities available in the aviation sector.

The departure of experienced professionals during the pandemic has further worsened the situation, resulting in reduced availability of serviceable aircraft to meet the growing demand for air travel.

Despite these challenges, Dviation Group maintains an optimistic outlook, observing that the industry has returned to operating at 90% of worldwide averages and signaling promising opportunities.

Dviation Group’s strategic location in Selangor has facilitated its operations, with access to a talent pool and collaboration with local vocational institutes ensuring a continuous flow of skilled professionals.

Despite the impact of the pandemic, Dviation Group has recovered and is well-positioned to provide aircraft maintenance services and technical training solutions. Its participation in the Selangor Aviation Show 2023 is a testament to its progress.

Kevin Teoh views the upcoming Selangor Aviation Show (SAS) at SkyPark RAC Subang (Sept 7-9) as a valuable opportunity to showcase Dviation’s role in the aviation ecosystem. Dviation will introduce KarbonMRO and discuss the job opportunities available in the aviation sector.

With plans for KarbonMRO’s expansion, Dviation Group is actively seeking fresh talent to join the industry. The SAS will provide a platform to engage with industry players, gain insights, and explore job prospects in aviation.

Dviation Group acknowledges the support of Invest Selangor in facilitating business-to-business (B2B) connections and championing local businesses. Invest Selangor has played a crucial role in Dviation’s success, including securing exclusive rights as a Honda Jets authorized service center in Southeast Asia.

With the aviation sector evolving, companies like Dviation Group will continue to drive innovation and sustainability in the industry.
