Indian students at SK Padang Tembak in George Town received early Deepavali gifts in the form of goodie bags, new clothing, and money. The Penang Hindu Association (PHA) and the welfare arm of the Temple of Fine Arts organized the event and distributed around 50 goodie bags to the students. Each bag contained Deepavali cookies, drinks, stationery, and new clothing.

The headmistress, Hamidah Hamza, expressed gratitude towards PHA and the Temple of Fine Arts for their continuous support over the past four years. She mentioned that the organizations have been providing sponsored goodie bags for Hari Raya and Chinese New Year, benefiting over 1,000 students.

    P. Murugiah, the president of PHA, assured that both PHA and KDS will continue their efforts to serve the needy and less fortunate with love whenever possible.
