KUALA LUMPUR: An investigation has been launched by the police after a homeless man was brutally attacked for unknown reasons. Dang Wangi OCPD Asst Comm Noor Dellhan Yahaya stated on Monday (Sept 11) that the investigation was initiated following a police report and a viral post on X (previously known as Twitter). The post reported that a homeless man had been beaten on Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock.

“A 36-year-old man was apprehended by the police at approximately 1.46am on Sept 11 to aid in the investigation of this case,” he said. The individual has been detained until Sept 13.” The police are currently working to locate the injured victim.
