    Elderly woman burns to death after car caught fire in Ipoh

    According to Perak Fire and Rescue Department senior officer Mohd Sufian Yaakub, a senior citizen was killed in a car fire on Jalan Bidor Lama in Tapah. The incident occurred at 4.49am on Thursday morning.

    Three other individuals, including a woman and two boys aged eight and five, suffered burns as well. The car was almost completely engulfed in flames, with the deceased seated in the back passenger seat, as mentioned by Mohd Sufian Yaakub.

    An ambulance transported the three burn victims to the hospital, while the fire brigade managed to bring the blaze under control at 5.11am. The operation concluded at 6.30am.

    Based on the information provided by Mohd Sufian Yaakub, the victim who passed away was a senior citizen, though the exact age and identity were not disclosed in the report.

    The cause of the fire is yet to be determined, and the incident is under investigation. It is unclear whether the car occupants were able to escape before the fire consumed the vehicle.
