SARAWAK Forestry (SFC) is going paperless with the implementation of e-tickets for its nine national parks.

This innovative approach is to streamline visitors’ experience and reduce paper waste.

“We’re excited to announce an upcoming change in our park entry system to enhance convenience and environmental sustainability.

“Starting Aug 14, we will be transitioning from physical tickets to e-tickets for entry into our cherished national parks and nature reserves,” SCF said in a statement, adding that visitors would be required to present their e-tickets for entry.

The paperless system will begin with the Wind Cave & Fairy Cave Nature Reserve.

“We understand the importance of preserving our natural heritage and embracing technology,” SFC said.

“As we move towards a more sustainable future, the e-ticket system will gradually be extended to the following destinations.”

They are Semenggoh Nature Reserve from Sept 4, Bako National Park (Sept 18), Matang Wildlife Centre (Oct 2), Kubah National Park (Oct 2), Gunung Gading National Park (Oct 2), Niah National Park (Oct 16), Similajau National Park (Oct 16) and Visitors Information Centre Kuching (Oct 30).

SFC assured that the process of obtaining e-tickets would be user-friendly and easily accessible to all.
