An 11-year-old boy was found dead with slash wounds on his head, neck, and hands at the Felda Sahabat 50 workers housing in Lahad Datu. The incident occurred on the morning of Saturday, September 23. The boy’s mother and stepfather, who are foreign nationals and general farm workers, had left for work, leaving him with a 33-year-old suspect. The victim’s body was discovered covered in blood, with cuts on the back of his head, front and back of his neck, and a severed left palm. The police are currently searching for an Indonesian suspect named Paulus Poka Lolo, who is a Timorese and a general worker at the same farm. The suspect went missing after the incident, and the motive is still under investigation. The case is being treated under Section 302 of the Penal Code. The Lahad Datu District police chief, ACP Rohan Shah Ahmad, has urged residents in the Felda Sahabat area to provide any information they may have to the nearest police station or contact the head of the Criminal Investigation Division, ASP Kharuddin Hussain, at 013-9071709 to help track down the suspect – Bernama.
