PETALING JAYA: The remains of nine of the victims killed in the plane crash in Bandar Elmina, Shah Alam, on Thursday (Aug 17) will be handed over to their next of kin on Sunday (Aug 20), says Datuk Hussein Omar Khan.
The Selangor CPO said that the remains would be handed over at the Forensic Department of the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital (HTAR) in Klang.
“The DNA matching has been completed and the identities of the remains have been ascertained,” he told a press conference at HTAR on Saturday (Aug 19) night.
The 2.48pm crash on Thursday claimed the lives of two crew members and six passengers on board the Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) aircraft. It also killed two motorists – an e-hailing driver and a p-hailing rider – who happened to be passing by the area.
