SHAH ALAM: Fire and Rescue Department personnel have started cleaning Persiaran Elmina where an aircraft crashed here on Thursday (Aug 17), killing 10 people.

Several personnel were sighted connecting hoses to a Fire and Rescue Department water tanker before they began spraying water on the road at around 12.45pm on Friday (Aug 18).

Earlier police, Fire and Rescue Department and Civil Defence Force personnel were seen combing the road for debris from the Beechcraft 390 Premier 1 plane.

Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Razarudin Husain had said that the search for debris and human remains was 95% complete.

During a press conference at the scene, he said they were in the midst of a final search to look for any human remains that were not collected yesterday.

Razarudin said they searched an 11,000sq metre area for aircraft debris and human remains.

The search for the aircraft black box was also completed yesterday as the aircraft was only equipped with a cockpit voice recorder (CVR).
