    SHAH ALAM: The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) has announced a dividend rate of 5.5% for Conventional Savings for the year 2023, resulting in a total payout of RM50.3 billion. On the other hand, the dividend rate for shariah savings stands at 5.4%, with a total payout of RM7.5 billion.

    Compared to the previous year, in 2022, EPF declared a dividend rate of 5.35% for conventional savings, resulting in a total payout of RM45.44 billion. The dividend rate for shariah savings in 2022 was 4.75%, leading to a payout of RM5.7 billion.

    Reflecting on the past decade, EPF’s dividend payout for conventional savings ranged from 6.35% in 2013 to 5.2% in 2020. On the other hand, the dividend payout for shariah savings ranged from 6.4% in 2017 to 5.65% in 2021.
