KEDAH Fashion Week (KFW) returned for its sixth edition in August showcasing its ever-growing presence in Malaysia’s fashion scene.

Presented by Aman Central, Alor Setar’s Zshopping complex, this year’s event themed “Big Bang” aptly captured KFW’s explosive expansion since its inception in 2016.

The three-day event filled with glitz and glamour saw Malaysia’s notable and upcoming designers converging in one place in a showcase of creative talent.

Raja Puan Muda of Kedah Che Puan Muda Zaheeda Mohamad Ariff was the guest of honour.

Aman Central marketing communication senior manager Ken Chin said KFW’s grand return was aimed at paving the way for new fashion brand tenants and the talented pool of local and international designers in the industry.

“KFW has continually shattered the limits of creativity,” said Chin.

He added that the event provided a dynamic space where designers could push the boundaries of artistic expression, making for a captivating fashion event in Malaysia’s northern region.

Event highlights included the collaboration between multi-label fashion retailers Collab Store and renowned designers like Ikmal Mukmin and Jeremy Lim of YT Label fame.

Upcoming names in fashion like Asyraf Arrif, Ezuwan Ismail, Anuar Faizal, Teddie Alrashed of Blue Natar, Oscar Lee of Outdwell, Thailand’s Kanapot Aunsorn and Myanmar’s Yadanar were also given the opportunity to present their creations.

This sixth edition also paid homage to fashion trailblazers such as ByTwoo, Daniel Zharif, Salleh Hamid, Dee Roslan, Amaze, Naemah Khuntum, Hasfitri Yusof, Wan&Mary as well as Seth&Luna – all synonymous with exceptional craftsmanship.
