The annual Malaysia International Scientific Instruments and Laboratory Equipment Exhibition and Conference (LabAsia) will be held from Oct 10 to 12. This year marks the eighth edition of the event, which brings together experts, researchers, and professionals in the field of laboratory sciences. LabAsia 2023, organized by Informa Markets Malaysia Sdn Bhd and Institut Kimia Malaysia (IKM), will take place at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

In addition to local participants, LabAsia 2023 will welcome participants from nine countries, including China, Hong Kong, India, South Korea, Portugal, Singapore, Switzerland, Taiwan, and the United Arab Emirates. With such global representation, the event serves as an ideal platform for exhibitors and visitors to connect and explore the latest advancements in laboratory and analytical technologies.

LabAsia 2023 expects to receive around 7,000 visitors, who will have the opportunity to engage in technical seminars, business matching sessions, and networking events with experts and professionals from around the world. The event will feature a diverse range of exhibitors, including manufacturers, suppliers, and distributors of laboratory equipment and analytical instruments.

Globally recognized as a showcase for breakthrough technologies, LabAsia 2023 will highlight innovations revolutionizing research, diagnostics, and analysis across various industries. The conference segment will offer a comprehensive lineup of presentations, panel discussions, and technical sessions, covering topics such as analytical chemistry, life sciences, environmental testing, and material characterization.

A significant aspect that sets LabAsia 2023 apart from similar events is its co-location with global scientific conferences hosted by IKM. The event will host IKM conferences and symposiums, including the Asian Conference on Analytical Sciences 2023, Asia-Pacific International Symposium on Microscale Separations and Analysis 2023, Symposium on Forensic Science 2023, and Symposium on Halal Testing and Authenticity.

According to IKM president Datuk Dr Soon Ting Kueh, LabAsia complements and supplements advances made in chemical sciences, playing a major role in sustainable social development. LabAsia 2023 aligns chemistry and chemical sciences with the latest developments in laboratory science and technology, further reinforcing their role in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals 2030.

Additionally, LabAsia 2023 provides a platform for researchers, scientists, and academics to present their findings to industry experts. This facilitates the translation of academic insights into practical applications and offers industry leaders access to cutting-edge research for innovation and business opportunities.
