The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning about extreme dry and hot weather conditions in eight locations in the northern part of Peninsula Malaysia.
In a statement released on Wednesday (March 13), MetMalaysia identified Padang Terap, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Pendang, Sik, and Baling in Kedah; Hulu Perak in Perak, and Perlis as the areas expected to experience these harsh weather conditions.
The statement mentioned that the hot weather conditions, with temperatures expected to rise above 35 degrees Celsius and possibly reaching 37 degrees Celsius, could persist for a period of three consecutive days.
