Road users are expressing their concerns about encounters with reckless motorcyclists. According to manager Mohd Zainal Ariffin, a motorcyclist made a turn in front of his car and abruptly stopped in the middle of the road, nearly causing a collision. The motorcyclist, who was a food delivery rider, was using his phone while riding. Mohd Zainal also noted that the rider did not use his signal light when making the turn. He believes that there should be better enforcement and stricter penalties for those who endanger others on the road.

Freelance writer Tan Ah Wah recount an incident where a motorbike suddenly entered his lane without warning. He did not honk at the motorcyclist, who then made a vulgar gesture at him. Freelance model Daisy Charlie mentioned that some motorcyclists seem to disregard other vehicles and even hit their side mirrors. She acknowledged the need for more stringent laws but also acknowledged that many people rely on motorcycles for their livelihoods. Businessman Azman Bakri, always watchful for motorcyclists riding close to him, recounted a past experience where a 15-year-old motorcyclist crashed into his car. Azman had to pay for both the repairs for his car and the boy’s medical treatment because the teenager was not wearing a helmet and did not have a license.

Retiree Hamzah Osman has witnessed numerous near-misses caused by motorcyclists running red lights. He believes that a lack of parental supervision is a main factor contributing to accidents involving young motorcyclists. Hamzah also shared the tragic story of a 17-year-old relative who died in a road accident while drag racing with friends.

Businessman Mac Wong suggested a law that restricts bikers to the left or slow lane. He expressed his fear and frustration at motorcyclists weaving in and out of traffic and hitting his side mirrors. Wong also recounted an incident where a group of motorcyclists threatened him after an accident that was not his fault.

Datuk Seri Mat Kasim Karim, the Federal police traffic enforcement and investigations department Commissioner, cited statistics showing that 50% of daily accidents involve motorcyclists and pillion riders. He also highlighted that 70% of the daily deaths from road accidents are motorcyclists and pillion riders. Mat Kasim expressed concern that many of the reckless motorcyclists involved in accidents are aged between 15 and 23. He emphasized the importance of parental supervision and educating young people about road safety. He encouraged witnesses of reckless bikers to report them to the traffic police, urging them to share any footage or information that can help track down the offenders.
